Who we are
Chartered in 1994, Medina Sunrise Rotary (MSR) is 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization operated to promote social welfare and protection of children of all ages.
Commitment to Community
Since 1994 Medina Sunrise Rotary has donated over 1.1 million dollars in grants to the Medina community supporting over 20 charities, causes, foreign exchange student programs, college and vocational scholarships. We also perform multiple service projects each year, including maintaining and caring for Medina's 9/11 Memorial park.
Grant process
We accept grant applications from groups across the county. Our grants committee, composed of our club members from a variety of backgrounds, utilizes a thorough review process to select those programs and projects we will fund. When reviewing applications, we look at:
• Does the program or project benefit children in Medina County?
• Does the program or project address an area of real need?
• Is the program or project sustainable?
• Does the program or project goals have measurable results?
We fund diverse programs and projects from groups throughout the county each year. The impact of your donation is felt across Medina County because we are able to support so many different causes. Our careful stewardship ensures our grants have a meaningful impact. And because we are a volunteer not-for-profit service group with low administration costs, 99% of the funds raised are distributed. Your gift goes further.

Our Strategic Charities
Medina Sunrise Rotary is dedicated to causes that improve lives, open the door to opportunities, build relationships, and create a better world, in support of children of all ages in Medina County, throughout Northeastern Ohio, and across the globe.
The Children’s Center of Medina County’s mission is to reduce trauma by providing a pathway to healing for children and families impacted by abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Today, The Children’s Center of Medina County houses not only Child Advocacy Center services but also Family Visitation Center services, and Anti-Human Trafficking Services.
Feeding Medina County’s mission is to educate, engage and lead our community in creating an environment where no one goes hungry. We nourish our community with essential programs that put food on the table for children, families and seniors who are at risk of hunger.

Medina 9/11 Memorial Park and Ceremony
As stewards of Medina’s 9/11 Memorial Park, Medina Sunrise Rotary has taken on the responsibility, in conjunction with the Medina City Parks Department and the firefighters of Medina Fire Station No. 1, for maintenance and the well-being of the park.
We are also involved in organizing the annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony. [Park Location]
